From the owner of Ancient Wisdom Natural Products . . .
It all started with
a search for an all natural body powder.
Ancient Wisdom is a home-based business founded in 2005. After several years of research we found a few wonderful sources for some of the finest natural ingredients, oils, and botanicals. We experimented with many recipes and believe we have come up with some very fine body and skin care products. We've had lots of fun along the way (a little frustration), huge learning curve and a wonderful sense of satisfaction and accomplishment.
My study of holistic skin care has taught me that less is better when it comes to using and applying products. The more natural the approach to skin care the healthier the skin. I have had a long-standing love affair with aromatherapy and herbology and a desire to create quality products that are plant derived, healthy and beneficial in all aspects ~ physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually ~ that precious balance that we hear so much about and is so very important to our overall wellness.
I love and respect the earth and believe it is a gift and blessing that we get to call this planet home; a planet that offers up all we need to live a good and healthy life. There is an abundance of ancestral wisdom available to us from many different cultures regarding the benefits and healing qualities of medicinal plants and healing herbs.
Way back when, in the 60's, I knew to stay away from processed foods and mainstream products made with harmful ingredients. As time passed and I became a mother, with a career, I transitioned into that fast-paced lifestyle of the working mother and the one-stop, quick-shop mentality. In recent years, several events in my life caused me to stop and reconsider my lifestyle, what I was exposing myself and my family to in the way of food, cleaning products, cosmetics and so on. I've spent the last several years re-creating that lifestyle of the 60's . . . well, in part that is.
Stardust All Natural Body Powder, Ancient Wisdom's first product, was born shortly after my grandson, Jonah. I've always been a "powder" user - guess I inherited the habit from my Mother. I enjoy the soft, dry feeling of body powder after a bath or shower. For years I powdered myself with commercial powders not realizing the harmful effects of talc and synthetic fragrances. Jonah prompted me into action when I couldn't find a baby powder without talc and 'fragrance' listed in the ingredients. Now we can all powder ourselves and our children - worry free!
